Excellent - Surprised how small, light & good Being new to road riding, I wasn't sure what to buy. After reading a review I bought this. It's small, compact, very light and I was like a giddy child the first time I used... It was amazing... Get one. 19 December 2012

Tiny and very reliable This is a duplicate to keep on my second bike. I've used my older one for a couple of years - very simple, very reliable, still going strong, and its tiny. One watch-out if you have deep rims and short valves. You need a fair amount of valve poking out of the rim to get a good seal, probably about 2cm - more than with a track pump. I found that the hard way beside the road, but now I run with longer valved tubes and never had a problem since. 11 December 2012

Jury still out Not sure about this product. Very light, but the push-on action is stiff, and after one use the rubber lining the valve is chewing up. Not sure how reliable or long lasting this will be..... 11 October 2012

No you can't lock it.... The canister has enough air for one full pump up...

Answer:

It dispenses gas until you let go - and whatever is left in the cartridge can be used later. I don't know how long it would last though as I've only ever used a full cartridge each time.

There's no tap - it's just a push/release action so could go off in your bag accidentally - though that would require a lot of force and/or bad luck! (Could be spectacular in a crash as dry-ice smoke pours from your backpack!)

Answer:

When you screw the top onto the cartridge it punches a hole in the top of cartridge and seals it simultaneously. So if you start to unscrew the top, gas will start to escape. At this point there is no evidence of gas escaping, but if left like this for a long time I would guess that it would gradually de-pressurise. Once the cartridge is fully used it cannot be re-filled or re-used.

Answer:

The Air Chuck automatically shuts when removed from the valve. You can then use the pump again. I think you could possibly get a couple of inflations to 100psi out of each 16g cartridge. You can't remove the cartridge from the Air Chuck until it is empty.
