Giro's rugged trail lid is light enough to cope with cross-country duties as well as tougher stuff. This is a classic all-day trail helmet that's extremely comfortable.
The straightforward ratchet does a grand job of spreading pressure all the way around the head so that there are no hot spots. The availability of three sizes means you should get a good fit.
Strap buckles stayed firmly in place throughout testing and are easy to adjust even with gloves on, while the POV peak and its 15 degrees of adjustment shrugged off rain and sunshine equally well and can be pushed right out of the way when you need to focus on the trail ahead.
The thick pads soak up the sweat from your brow effectively, and although vents are restricted to a pretty minimalist 10, they actually do a grand job of keeping you cool. Coverage is broad and styling rounded to avoid any snags should you ever scrape your head across the floor.
In conclusion...
The definitive trail classic proves its immense worth once again
