Fine. Do what they should. Bought these last winter and used them regularly. They work fine. a bit fiddly sometimes to make sure the bottom of the overshoe fits around the shoe cleats but thats part of fitting them properly I suppose. 11 September 2012

Good looking overshoes with a good fit. Windstopper material works great, keeping out the cold and providing some water resistance. 15 August 2012

Eyes beware ! Everyone says " We will never miss you wearing those ! " If your buying these to be seen then, you have made the right choice ! As for weather protection, they are nice and warm, but not the least bit water resistant ( heavy and soggy in the rain ) The main drawback with these overshoes is that they show EVERY mark on them, and I have found them to be 'un-cleanable' Would I buy them again? Yep ! 13 August 2012

Effective overshoes I prefer material like this to rubberised overshoes. Nice lot of clearance underneath for cleats, I expect the reinforcing will fray though in time. Probably won't appeal to the image conscious but great for those of us who prefer practicality to image. My size was borderline between two sizes and if I bought again I would go for the bigger size. 21 June 2012

What size for road shoe 42?

I would like to purchase the Gore overshoe but I am unsure as to what size to get. My road shoe is a Eur size 42 (uk 8). Can you advise what size Gore overshoe to get? Many thanks.

I have Sidi Megas size 45 and my Gore overshoes are extra large. They fit well not too tight or loose so I think you should get Large.

how water proof are they?

i'm a novice in using overshoes but where i live it rains two days out of three and my commute is 30 minutes, so i want to be sure that these will keep my feet dry.

Definitely NOT waterproof, a little spray is fine but if persistent, quickly waterlogged. If you need waterproof go for another product.

Will any thing keep you dry in Ireland? Over shoes do work well. I have a number of pairs so when one is drying while I use the other one. Water will slowly seep in but feet will remain warm and dry. I just purchased Descente Element Shoe Covers - AW10 and am very happy.

I got the size 42-44 Gore Oxygen SO Thermo overshoes and they fit my size 44 Lake shoes, including the BOA dial on the heel.

They're a snug fit because of the BOA dial but the zip seems to be holding out fine so far. It might be worth considering the next size up if you've got similar shoes as the dial on the heel makes them that little bit longer than the size of your foot.

The Large size will fit a 42 shoe if it is a road specific shoe. If you are using the overshoes for standard shoes, trainers or off road cycle shoes you should go up to a XL size.
