This GT Fury Team 2014 is no longer available although you may find similar or newer versions below:
Whether you spend your day waiting for the next lift to take you back to the top, or you’re racing against the clock with every run, you need a bike that can withstand the rigours of full day Gravity riding. The new GT Fury doesn’t compromise performance as it allows you to ride faster, shred harder and jump further - as long as you’re not afraid of a little surge in adrenaline. Developed with Atherton Racing world cup race team and optimised for the World Cup circuit, the Fury gives you downhill performance like you’ve never felt before. Featuring GT’s patented Independent Drivetrain for optimum pedalling on the way up, and an aggressive geometry for superior handling on the way down, the 2014 Fury will take you to your limits in no time.
To cater for the fast and furious downhill runs you'll be placing this bike through, it needs lots of front and rear travel. The Fury Team has it and in abundance. At the front you have Fox Racing 40RC2 FIT fork that gives you 200mm of travel, whilst at the rear you have a Fox Racing DHX RC2 rear shock giving 220mm (coil) of travel and all featured on a COR Downhill design, 6061-T6 alloy frame. One key feature the frame holds is GT's Independent Drivetrain. This works as it operates independently of the drivetrain, the suspension can focus solely on its intended purpose – a smoother, faster ride – without making compromises in pedaling efficiency. And because it’s an inherently simple design, it’s easy to set up, ride and maintain.
The componentry on this machine is a mix of Shimano, RaceFace and Thomson branded parts. Shimano is featured throughout the drivetrain and in the shape of their Zee range. This encompasses a single chainset that uses a 36 tooth chainring, front/rear derailleurs, as well as shifters, and a 10 speed cassette (with the chain being held in place by a ultra-burly e.thirteen chainguide). The bars and stem are from RaceFace and are their Atlas range. The bars come in at 785mm in width and the Direct Mount stem that is adjustable 30/50mm in length. Strong and great stability is what you need when all you want to do is descend fast. The post is Thomson's Elite post and features a WTB Silverado Race SL saddle on top.
The wheels have to be strong to be able to take the impacts of downhill racing so with this in mind the Fury Team comes equipped with Alex Supra Compe rims that are built on All Terra hubs (20 x 110mm front and 12 x 150mm rear). Wrapping themselves around these are a pair of Continental Der Kaiser Projekt 26 x 2.4 tyres with Black Chili Compound which gives excellent grip, great traction and superb performance all round.
With this speed comes stopping and this achieved thanks to Shimano's Zee hydraulic disc brakes. These give superb braking performance which is a must on a bike of this nature. The pads clamp around massive 203mm disc rotors so braking is guaranteed in all weather condition.
If you are aspiring to be a World Cup racer, or just like to hit downhill runs fast, then the Fury will meet your needs as it's packed full of components that will get you to the bottom in one piece. Each Fury is fully built, tested and tuned by Wiggle's team of qualified bike mechanics to ensure you're bike arrives in perfect condition. To find out which size fits you use the size chart below.

Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
