The 2014 Sensor Carbon Pro is designed as all day trail riding bike, light enough to climb the toughest climb with efficient supple suspension keeping traction on the dirt. When the trail points downwards the Sensor comes alive with nimble handling and confidence inspiring control from its short stem and relaxed 68.5 degree head angle.
The carbon chassis is designed around the latest generation 27.5 (650B) size wheels. 27.5’s provide faster rolling and better bump absorption than a 26” wheel, yet lighter, stronger and more nimble than 29’s. It's a combination of high quality carbon (FOC Ultra), renowned branded components, massive amounts of travel and a stunning blue/white/carbon paint finish. All this produces a delightful full suspension carbon bike wanting to get out and play (in the mud, through the woods, down rocky descents - it doesn't care).
The frame holds three key features: Firstly the frame uses FOC Ultra Carbon. This takes a minimalist approach to carbon fabrication by using the fewest layers of high-modulus carbon possible to achieve a stiff, reliable, responsive ride. In other words, light enough for GT’s XC race ready machines and burly enough for Enduro DH race bikes. Secondly the frame features the AOS (Angle Optimised Suspension system) which isolates your pedal forces from the suspension, so all the effort you out into pedalling stays with your pedalling and your suspension only reacts when you need it to. And thirdly the frame uses the Independent Drivetrain technology (see below).
Then you have the components fitted. The Fox 32 Float (colour matching to the frame) forks provide 130mm of travel and provide ample damping giving you more control and stability when riding over the rough stuff. You then have the Fox Racing rear shock with its rebound adjust and lockout.
The drivetrain featured on the Sensor Carbon Pro is a mix of Shimano Deore XT and RaceFace components, each delivering exceptional performance. The RaceFace Turbine chainset is a triple (42x32x22) and couple this with the 10 speed rear cassette and you have 30 gear choices to choose from. Meaning you have the gearing to get up the steepest/muddiest slope and the gearing to maximise the speeds when descending or racing along the flatter sections.
With speed comes stopping and this achieved thanks to Formula's awesome T1 hydraulic disc brakes. Superb braking performance is guaranteed in all weather conditions with the disc pads clamping themselves around the hefty 180mm disc rotors.
The wheels need to be as strong as an ox, so to withstand the punishment you throw at them, this machine comes fitted with e.thirteen TRS rims, which are built on a pair of e.thirteen hubs (15 x 100mm front and 12 x 142mm rear), and a pair of Continental X-King (27.5 x 2.2 and 2.4) tyres. Continental are renowned to give excellent grip in all weathers and carve through deep mud with ease.
The finishing kit is a mix of Thomson, RaceFace, and Rockshox. The bars are from RaceFace (Turbine) and are 740mm wide with a rise of 3/4". The stem is from Thomson (Elite X4) which is 80mm in length and the seatpost is thanks to Rockshox in the shape of their Reverb Stealth model (adjustable and having 125mm drop). Finally your seated upon a MTB specific saddle from Fizik. It's the Tundra 2 saddle and comes with magnesium rails. Total comfort in the saddle.
Hit the trails hard with the Sensor Expert and have bags of fun in doing so. Ridden by Race Whippets and Weekend Warriors alike, trail bikes balance strength and durability with lightweight and ride ability, so they are equally at home on the singletrack, the sprint for the finish line or the Sunday thrash with your friends.

This suspension does its job. Period. Because it operates independently of the drivetrain, the suspension can focus solely on its intended purpose – a smoother, faster ride – without making compromises in pedaling efficiency. And because it’s an inherently simple design, it’s easy to set up, ride and maintain.
If you after a snappy handling mtb and enjoy off-road endurance riding then a Full Suspension Mtb is for you. GT Bikes, based in Southern California, has been in the business of making great bikes since 1972 when Gary Turner launched one of the first performance BMX race bikes. Developing world class bikes in conjunction with the world’s best BMX rider such as Greg Hill, Eddie Fiola, Clive Gosling and Dave Mirra, GT grew into one of the biggest brands. With a BMX heritage and based in California the MTB scene was the perfect addition in the late 80’s . GT used the same model of developing performance bikes with the best riders, pioneering new suspension technology and the use of carbon fibre in MTB frames. Winning numerous World Championships in downhill and cross country racing with legendary riders such Nicholas Vouilloz, Steve Peat and more recently Atherton Racing, with Dan Gee and Rachel Atherton. Hans “No Way” Ray has been one of the figurehead of GT’s longstanding team rider program, setting the record for longest sponsorship deal of 26 (?) years and counting. It hasn’t always been about dirt, in the mid 90’s GT took there carbon technology and build track bikes for the USA Olympic team, the bike was later banned for being too fast. GT latest crop of Enduroad Grade models play perfect testament to the brands heritage across, dirt, road and track.
The size chart below will get you on the right size bike. Experienced riders may also wish to refer to the geometry chart for more detail.
Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
