The Transeo 4 is a city bike that features a lightweight Speed Metal alloy frame - step-thru design so making getting on and off the bike easier for you and safer if you need to stop in a hurry, front suspension forks - Suntour NEX forks that offer 60mm of travel, and Promax DSK310 mechanical (cable pull) disc brakes that provide awesome stopping power in both wet and dry conditions.
This classic city bike from GT features an aluminium frame with the iconic Triple Triangle. Originally developed to extend the frame life, stiffen the rear triangle and thus create a faster, more responsive ride, the Triple Triangle™ frame has transcended its role as just another tech story and become an iconic symbol of who GT are and what they stand for.
The Transeo 4 is also capable of off road riding. Not pure offroad riding mind you, but gravel paths/trails so ideal for family trips in parks etc. The drivetrain is made up of Shimano components and offers you 8 speed controls and with the triple chainset you get 24 gears. This is plentiful for city riding and also enough for you trips onto trails etc. Also, the cable pull disc brakes provide great braking even in wet weather conditions. They are very versatile and high performing and guaranteed to do a good job in stopping you.
The wheels are a mixture of Jalco DM23 rims which are built on All Terra hubs and provide good strength and great reliability. Wrapping around these wheels are Innova Landtracker 700x40c tyres. These offer great grip and are wide enough for trail riding also.
GT parts are noticeable at the middle and front end of this bike. Flat riser bars give you a comfortable hand position and stability working well with their stem. Also, the saddle and seat post are GT too and all this helps keep the price as low as possible yet provide good reliable parts that won’t let you down.
If you are looking for a bike that needs to take you through town, perhaps on you commute to and from work, but also trips on light off road paths and tracks, then the Transeo is the choice for you. It’s equipped with the right parts and components to do the job and will provide hours of endless fun and reliability. With lightweight wheels and tyres that keep you rolling fast and front suspension forks, absorbing all the bumps you hit along the way the Transeo is the perfect choice.

GT Bikes, based in Southern California, has been in the business of making great bikes since 1972 when Gary Turner launched one of the first performance BMX race bikes. Developing world class bikes in conjunction with the world’s best BMX rider such as Greg Hill, Eddie Fiola, Jamie Bestwick, Clive Gosling and Dave Mirra, GT grew into one of the biggest brands. With a BMX heritage and based in California the MTB scene was the perfect addition in the late 80’s . GT used the same model of developing performance bikes with the best riders, pioneering new suspension technology and the use of carbon fibre in MTB frames. Winning numerous World Championships in downhill and cross country racing with legendary riders such Nicholas Vouilloz, Steve Peat and more recently Atherton Racing, with Dan Gee and Rachel Atherton. Hans “No Way” Ray has been one of the figurehead of GT’s longstanding team rider program, setting the record for longest sponsorship deal of 26 years and counting. It hasn’t always been about dirt, in the mid 90’s GT took there carbon technology and build track bikes for the USA Olympic team, the bike was later banned for being too fast. GT latest crop of Enduroad Grade models play perfect testament to the brands heritage across, dirt, road and track.

Getting the Right Fit
At Wiggle we measure each of our bikes to build accurate size charts for our customers. Our qualified team of mechanics then individually check each order, against measurements supplied by you, to ensure the size chosen is correct. Another reason you can have complete confidence when buying a bike from Wiggle!
If you are on the change over between sizes both options will fit. Racers and experienced riders would usually select a smaller size as this offers quicker handing. A larger bike offers more stability and is more suited to new and intermediate riders.
