To kick the New Year and new you into shape, we have a cracking opportunity to win three great prizes from CycleOps
CycleOps are world famous for producing high quality cycle trainers. However, the company origins weren’t in cycling, believe it or not they started with producing curtain rods! The story goes that the Graber brothers sold their window products company and needed something to do. They experimented in their garage and came up with a best-selling bike rack. In 1989, Chris and Sara Fortune purchased the company when it was selling 80,000 bike racks a year. In 1990, a high-end brand of bike rack was launched, branded as “Saris.” Today Saris is a leading supplier to the bicycle industry in over 30 countries. The company expanded in 1999 by acquiring the Cycleops brand of bike trainer. As usual they set out to improve on the design and by 2001 they created a new trainer frame and in 2002 they launched the world’s first progressive resistance Cycleops magnetic trainer. It was in 2001 that they heard about a hub that could measure power output and they jumped at the chance to bring this product to cyclists. They bought the company that invented Powertap and started a new round of Cycleops cycling innovations.

Here is another great giveaway courtesy of Wiggle. Sitting beneath my desk is a awesome signed poster by Team Atherton singed individually by Rachel, Dan and Gee Atherton. If you're into your Downhill or 4x then you will know that they are dominating the world of MTB presently. If you don't here is a little bit of info about this family of world class MTBers.
Britain’s first family of gravity defying mountain bike racers consist of, Gee, Dan and Rachel Atherton. The trio grew up in a Somerset village, where Dan says they began racing each other for something to do. He took up BMXing at 15, then got his brother Gee a bike so he’d have company. Rachel soon wanted to be involved and got her first BMX at the age of eight. Their father, a headmaster and former semi-professional footballer, and their mother, a former county gymnast, supported their children as they all, in turn, left school at 16, to take up the sport full-time since those early days they have now become the most famous family of MTBers internationally and are going from strength to strength.

Wiggle has teamed up with adidas to celebrate the launch of the new Techfit range of clothing. During the month of July 2009 when you purchase any powerweb item from the new Techfit range you will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win a Chris Hoy framed, authenticated signed GB SkinSuit.
Compression is now widely accepted in the world of sports due to the benefits it gives the athlete. adidas Techfit Powerweb is the next generation of sports compression wear.
Years of continued research studying athletes and the way their muscles move have contributed to the development of adidas techfit powerweb. adidas Powerweb is an advanced technology that focuses on the muscles energy to increase power, acceleration and endurance.
A series of TPU (thermopolyurethane) bands have been incorporated into adidas techfit compression garments and are visible on many athletes in today's competition arena. The TPU bands cradle and support the key muscle groups, holding them in place and improving posture. These bands work in unison with the muscles and function like springs when an athlete moves, muscles contract and the opposite muscles extend – the bands on adidas Techfit Powerweb mimic this. As the bands stretch they store elastic energy, when the extended muscles contract back as part of the movement, the bands snap back providing the athlete with more power.
The bands also contribute to additional posture control, the key to being efficient and gaining maximal performance TPU bands across the back and shoulders aim to keep body in an efficient posture position. Climacool ventilation keeps the body at optimal temperature. Stretch fabric adds comfort with reduction of seems, POWERWEB BANDS will hold the shoulders back whilst running and cycling maintaining a more efficient body shape therefore maximising power output and reducing fatigue
Core stability is the key to achieving strength, flexibility and explosive power in dynamic movements. TECHFIT POWERWEB has been designed to improve stability in the lower back, torso and abdomen by increasing compression over core muscle groups.

Wiggle have teamed up with Focus Bikes to offer the opportunity to win a trip to the Vattenfall Cyclassic event in Hamburg on August 16th 2009. The Vattenfall Cyclassics one-day race is a true celebration of cycling. It is one of the youngest one-day road races in the UCI ProTour but it is one of the best races because organisers combine a high quality professional race with a day of cycling for everyone who loves two-wheels.
While the 200 UCI ProTour riders cover the early part of the 250km course to the south of Hamburg, thousands of ordinary cyclists and their families enjoy riding on the finishing circuit near the river Elbe. They test themselves on the steep climb up from the river and then enjoy a carnival atmosphere as they watch the final part of the main race in the afternoon. Every race should be inspired by the Vattenfall Cyclassics events.
The Vattenfall Cyclassics course often inspires attacks, but the peloton usually comes together just before the finish in the centre of Hamburg. Last year, Italy’s Alessandro Ballan, of the Lampre team, won with a surprise and very strong attack in the final kilometre, managed to hold off the sprinters. 2006 winner Oscar Freire, of Spain, beat the other sprinters to take second but could only congratulate Ballan on his opportunistic but impressive victory.
This year the Vattenfall Cyclassics again comes immediately after the end of the Tour of Germany and will be an exciting climax to the end of the German cycling summer.

Mobi set out to create the worlds best mobile pressure washer! And that's just what they did..........even if we do say so ourselves! The Mobi team are a bunch of highly dedicated outdoorsy types from Poole, Dorset in England who after getting their kicks were tired of not being able to easily clean their mucky stuff on the fly.........thus the Mobi was born! It was also important to them that Mobi would be kinder to the environment by using less water than a hose and also had to be recyclable after it had gone to the great ocean in the sky. They took the finest materials, the latest innovations, a little bit of design magic and several cups of tea to create the Mobi. It took them over 2 years to get the design just right and we (and their mums) are very proud of the finished product. The Mobi team are contacted by their customers on a daily basis about the squillions of different uses for Mobi from cleaning their pets, boats and bicycles to Kayaks and PVC Windows and pretty much everything in between!
