A helmet camera is a specially designed camera to film action themed events. It has excellent video quality and is housed in an impact resistant camera body. This combination of video quality and durability makes it ideal for filming your bike rides and outdoor adventures.
Helmet cameras offer you high definition resolutions that record up to 60 frames per second. They are programmed with an intuitive user interface for ease of use. Helmet cameras can also be used for taking pictures as well as shooting video and as a result are extremely versatile.
Helmet cameras come in a wide range of budgets to suit the aspiring film maker. The more expensive models come with the very best lenses, mounts and accessories. The biggest helmet camera brands at Wiggle are GoPro and Contour.
Helmet or handlebar cameras allow you to capture film footage whilst maintaining full control of the bike, they fit via straps around the vents in your helmet or around you handlebars, or capture those behind you by fitting it to your seat post. They are extremely simple to use with storage via a SD card, you can then copy the footage onto your pc, edit and burn to disk to keep and share. At Wiggle we often take out the staff cam and host the footage on the wiggle blog, known as the bloggle, you can view this on the staff cam footage page
