There is no technical reason we just don't think it tastes very good mixed with water. If you like it like that then continue to use it!!
Personally I really like it with Alpro coconut milk. I'm slightly lactose intolerant - but even if I wasn't, it's just *really* nice :)
obviously with milk it tastes much better but I've drank it with water or 50%-50% and it tastes fine

I just do cardio and equally want to avoid bulking and I find this works well after hard training. I mix with skimmed milk for added protein. The carbs element is also pretty key for cardio fanatics, so it's great that this base is covered too.
I tend to only go for one serving per hard training session, and if it's a lighter session, I sometimes just opt for a lower protein option of just a glass of skimmed milk.

I'm a triathlete and I've been using it for the last 3 years... I only take after a hard work outs or long sessions.
This product is not designed to gain weight but to repair muscle damage after hard work outs....
pretty silly to drink this if you're going for a wee run in the park... then you'll put on weight, I imagine.

I'm just training for 70.3 Ironman series and this is what I use along side general nutrition! :)
cocoa is quite bitter, to make it palatable to most people dextrose (aka glucose) is used to sweeten as well as provide carbs
maltodextrin isn't a sugar, but it is just chains of glucose molecules, the longer the chain the less sweet it tastes
it is metabolised almost as fast as glucose, because as you digest it, the chains are broken down to produce glucose
so maltodextrin is used where the metabolic impact of glucose is intended but without the sweet taste
i'm a chocaholic, imho it is delicious
In High5's website it says that each 1.6kg tube makes 15x500ml servings which means that you need 107gr for a 500ml serving.
Which one is true?
Thanks for the question. They are only marginally different and this is only due to slight differences in the mixes to make them taste nice, mix well and also have an acceptable pH level.
However to answer your question the Chocolate would be marginally better due to the slightly higher sugar ratio; this is because your muscles will be carbohydrate depleted so it will be able to replace that.
