Just what I needed
I've been using Zero to ensure my electrolytes are topped up during training and for racing. I'm focusing on 10 and 25 mile time trials this season and therefore need electrolytes in my drink, but not necessarily calories. The flavours are good and the tabs couldn't be easier to use.

Worth a Purchase
Very good energy tables - each tube contains 20 tablets so for the price it's very reasonable.

No more cramp!
I wasn't sure whether these would work, but I got them because they claimed to reduce cramp. So far they seem to work, I have had a couple of long rides with these recently and did not get cramp before or after the ride, which I have in the past. I got the citrus flavour and to be honest I don't like the taste very much - I normally drink unflavoured water anyhow so this is why! Probably go for the neutral next time. It's pretty cheap as well.

Good alternative to energy drinks
I found these great for touring and short trips when you don't want to carry large quantities of the usual energy drink. Just carry one tube and pop a tablet in when you refill the bottle. Doesn't contain the calories so remember to eat more (not too hard!).

good fuel
not a bad taste - reasonable value compared to other power fuels.
easier to carry than satchets !

work a treat
Bought these because I get cramps and need to replace electrolytes but don't like swilling too much of those high carb, high sugar energy drinks when training. They taste great - especially the citrus - stop the cramps, and make it much easier to hydrate. Would highly recommend them.

No mess
Simple and easy to use, no messy mixing of powders
Nice bubblely fizz on the tounge.
Not too sweet either

just as ordered, used before but paid more these are as I've used before & do the job well.

Good hydration
Used these recently in a mountain biking trip to the Alps. Really easy to place the tablets in my Camalback that was full of water. They taste good with a nice flavour. The water becomes very lightly carbonated.
10 July 2010
I used to suffer with headaches after riding but these seem to have cured that instantly. Very handy as no fussing around with messy powders and also easy to take with you for refils on the road. I go for the flavourless and use with whatever squash is in the house.

Quality on the go drink
These mix up to a tasty, not too chalky, drink which does the trick to quench your thirst and keep you pushing for longer. You can rely on High 5 to hit the spot every ride. Can't really find fault .......get some.
08 July 2010
high 5 drink
this is a great tasting drink and easy to carry a spare tablet in your back pocket. it kept me from cramping in very hot conditions without the caffeine/sugar hit that some drinks give you + it's not fattening. my wife can also recommend it as most other carbo drinks give me wind assistance which is not popular in the marital bed dept.

Zero acitive
Bought as an alternative to Nuun as cheaper (around 30p/tab rather than 45p/tab) Seems to do the job and escaped cramp on recent 100mi ride. Only concern is the sweeteners but Nuun has this drawback too.
07 July 2010
Good value alternative to Nuun
If you've had Nuun in the past you know what to expect from these electrolyte tablets. Bigger tube of tablets from High5 and Cherry - Orange flavour makes a nice change
01 July 2010
Brilliant!
This is a great product to keep you going on enduarnce exercises, helped me do 63 miles non-stop! Replaces the electrolytes lost in a tasty way, not sweet or sickly. Just dissolve a tablet into a 500ml bottle of water. Easy to carry around in their own tubes.
Raspberry flavour a little odd, but citrus, and berry/orange great.

Magic in a bottle
I used to get cramp training and then discovered these tablets. I started with Noon, which were about the same price for 12 tablets and have since moved on to high five as you get 20 tablets. I recently did the Coast to Coast (Whitehaven - Sunderland) in one day and took a dozen of these tablets with me to drop into my bottles when I got them refilled and I had no cramp, despite it being hot - they are lifesavers! Still too expensive for what they actually are though!!

Simple electrolyte replacement
Not all of us like the sweetness of energy drinks, gels and foods. This offers a great and simple solution to electrolyte replacement. It tastes a little watery at first, but this passes rapidly and is preferential to simple water.
Great for hot days when energy replacement isn't the main priority.
28 June 2010
Strange flavour
I had the cherry/orange flavour and the orange was just too strong and bitter for drinking on the road. Perhaps another flavour would work better?

Anti Cramp in a Tube
I suffer from cramp pretty bad when riding hard for extended periods of time, I just completed the third London to Brighton in a shade over 4 hours and unlike the two previous times I suffered no cramp whatsoever and I gotta say it's been thanks to this product! I was sceptical at first but after drinking a litre before the ride and using it in my camel back during the ride and after to stay hydrated I suffered no cramping over the 54 miles, furthermore I felt fine after the event too!

High5 Zero Drink Tablet
Excellent if you are riding for losing weight.
Gives you the salts without the calories. Tastes OK but also adds well to cordial etc.
19 June 2010
Great taste and value
Excellent taste - I've tried all flavours and there aren't any I dislike (granted this is subjective). With about 500ml of water these make the perfect sports drink for hot conditions. I pack a couple of individual tabs for 3 - 5 hour rides and use these when topping up my bidons. Great value too - far more economical than buying pre made sports drinks. I also use these when working in hot conditions (Darwin - 36C and high humidity) and they work well in making high fluid intakes more palatable.
16 June 2010
tasty drink
very tasty drink & stops me feeling dehydrated next morning after a gym session
14 June 2010
prevents dehydration and cramps
If I do a lot of exercise and drink only water, I get leg cramps at night, and start to feel thirsty all the time. These sort that out, are handy to carry and use, and not too expensive.
Basically seem to be very similar to Nuun but slightly cheaper.
I always drop one of these on my water bottle when cycling or spinning these days.
Citrus and cherry flavours are actually fairly nice (it's only a very weak flavouring, it's not like squash), I'm not as keen on the berry but it's drinkable.

The perfect only electrolyte energy drink
One of the best inventions for the people who practice any kind of sport.
Yes, there are a lot of energy drinks but almost all of them have a mix of carbohydrates and electrolytes so, when you have drunk a big amount of them, you have entered in your body a considerable amount of calories and it can be not so good ad you expect.
How to solve this?
Do you mix them with less concentration? No because you are taking less electrolytes.
Do you drink less? It's not an option.
So, the solution is... this electrolyte tablets!!!
They are really good and in a couple of minutes, you have a liquid drink with only electrolytes and so you can drink nearly what you want.
Specially for hot days it's nearly perfect.
Ah, as tablets have a cut in the middle, you can break them easily and use them in a glass of water so you can use them at home as a soft drink.
Of course, the possibility to keep them with you is really easy because you can take the tablet wherever you want.
I haven't mentioned anything about their taste but it's in the same line: incredible and you can play with the concentration so you can give more / less taste.
12 June 2010
dont forget the electrolytes!!
Doing the hard yards on the turbo? Riding a long hot summer sportive in fact if you are doing anything that is going to mean you are perspiring profusely and you are being active whilst doing so, you may well need some electrolyte support to stop you from cramping and to keep the electrical pulses from the brain getting to the muscles. Easily dis-solvable effervescent tablets that deliver a very palatable blend of essential electrolytes to working muscles AND there are no calories.

Excellent stuff!
Having (like more than a few others) been introduced to Zero by the free samples in a mag a few months back, I got some more samples with some bottles, and now I've bought a tube of 20- I doubt it'll be my last! It's perfect for much of the riding I do. For long rides, I tend to go for a DIY solution (orange juice/water mix in a bladder), for shorter distances nothing at all or just water. For 30 or 40 miles after a carb-loaded Sunday lunch, however, Zero has proved perfect. Dead simple to use, the tablet's convenient, and all three flavours taste nice. These aren't isotonic, so for long runs you'd want carbs as well (gels/bars, or add Zero to another product), but they'll certainly help prevent dehydration. I've had no problems with these at all, and the tube means it'll be handy should I need to top up fluids on a long run out.

practical drink
A good product, which seems to work. It is easy and quick to make and is ideal for shorter less strenous rides where you don't need something more enrgy giving.

This stuff works
Zero tastes great and really works. It was also great value.

Great for stopping cramp
I always used to suffer from cramps on hilly rides but these tablets have stopped it. They tasted decent too. Can't fault them at all.
04 March 2013
Great tasting and pleasant
If you are looking for a tasty drink just to keep you hydrated then this is a perfect drink! The taste is light, refreshing and pleasant when out on the bike and it doesn't stick in the throat at all! I went for the Cherry and Orange one which is lovely! It's great value compared to pre mixed drinks and seems to do the trick keeping me hydrated.

If your exercising enough to drink 5 plus bottles you will need some carbohydrates as well. Otherwise my guess is no problems.Country : Australia

Answer:
The instructions on the tubes don't suggest a limit. I reckon that at one tablet per 750cc your biggest risk of using 10 or more is exploding unless you are excreting sweat (etc) at a comparable rate. It is also well known that if you comsume pure water in huge volumes your body stops being able to absorb it and you can die as a result. So, if you need to consume a lot of fluid, you need the electrolites/salts to cope.Answer:
I use 2 x 750 ml bottles on a hot day and use two tabs per bottle because that ids how I like it probably wouldn't do more than that but email the company if you are concerned.Country : United Kingdom
Answer:
Depends how thirsty you are and how hot the weather is. The dose is one or two per 750ml bottle. I would only use 2 tabs if the weather was very hot. In the winter I tend to use half as I don't like drinking plain water - find it swills around in my stomach.Basically, use these while riding/running and then one bottle after exercise.

Answer:
I use these in the Camelbak for longer rides. Cant think of any potential hazards other than they do omit a slight aeration-which is release on drinking. You will need a few tablets for full capacity-but leave space for the air expansion.Answer:
Yes, you can. It reacts like a Berocca, so it fizzes away. Maybe just make sure it's dissolved before sucking through the straw.Country : Australia
Answer:
I've read on a forum that someone has used these in a water bladder and that a lot of gas is initially released, so I suppose the answer is yes. I intend to use them in this way. I can imagine excess pressure when you bite on the valve the very first time so would probably avoid problems by squeezing with fingers and aiming it away - some liquid will of course be wasted in this way. The other alternative would be to only fill the bladder say two thirds full so that the pressure can be taken up within the bladder. Sorry all this is only theory.Country : United Kingdom
Answer:
Yes. Just ensure you wash out as usual after useAnswer:
Yes you should be fine adding these to a camelbak. Just be aware that the tablets fizz which can cause pressure, you should wait to do up the cap or release the air periodically to prevent a water escape from the valve.Country : United Kingdom

If you are experiencing cramps on a regular basis I encourage you to consult a healthcare professional or nutritionist that specialises in athletes. Having said that, these tablets work better for me than anything else I have tried in reducing/preventing cramps. Im able to use them at the recommended dose (and higher) without the drink being too sweet (a common reason people dont use full strength). no and yes. Zero is an isotonic mix no carbs but full electrolytes. If you add it to Torq Energy it would have to be the carbohydrate only Torq or you will have too high a concentration of electrolytesTop 500 Contributor
Answer:
Most sports drinks are optimised for absorption when made up as per their instructions. If you add one drink to another my guess is you mess up the balance of both. If I were going about this, I'd take a bottle of each with me, both made up as instructed. Or else I'd add one drink to the other - i.e. Torq made up as instructed, added to High5 Zero made up as instructed - so that the optimum solut levels are still maintained. Then use with energy gels to get the energy per hour rate you want.2 years, 2 months ago
