Top Features of the Hope XC/FR MTB Standard Stem
All stems are CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aluminium. The XC and AM range has been re-designed with more material taken out to save weight and a new front plate design.

Opposing steerer clamp bolts remain to give exceptionally rigid steering characteristics. The full range of 6 anodised colours are available.
Freeride (FR) stems are stem lengths 50mm and 70mm
Cross Country (XC) Stems are stem lengths 90mm and 110mm

Hope's stems have been a big hit among homegrown kit fans as well as those looking for top performance at a great price. It's a fully machined unit like the Thomson, with loads of pockets and external webbing machined into the outside of the steerer clamp/shaft junction. There's a stress spreading shallow s-bend to the rear slot, smoothly radiused bar clamp and recessed laser logos.
Loads of anodised colours are available with hand-picked face plates to ensure a perfect match. Outside the aesthetics it's within a whisker of the Thomson for stiffness and just 12g heavier, but £15 cheaper, which just sees it clinch the overall win. It's compatible with Hope's unique front plate mounted lights and Cannondale/OnePointFive inch versions are available too.
In conclusion...
Great multi-option all-rounder at a good price

Hope's reputation is built on hubs and brakes and, while it also produces small components like headsets, seat collars, quick releases and bar end plugs, the Hope Stem is the first major piece of finishing kit to come out of Lancashire

All in all the Hope stem is strong and stiff...all we need now is the lights to go with the stem

In conclusion...
Honest CNC-machined goodness, with a great strength/weight/cost balance, loads of anodised colour options and the option of Hope's unique stem-fit lights. Grand.
