Love them! Putting on these shoes is like slipping on a glove, they are light, fit a narrow foot beautifully (would not suit a wide foot) and grip like nothing I've run in before. However, running in the Australian Bush is harsh on the feet as there are rocks, gravel and tree roots, and as these shoes are a "barefoot like" running shoe, there is no cushioning so it does make running hard on the joints. If running on a wet or rainforest like track they would be beautiful. Loves these shoes, would just love a bit more cushioning. If you need ankle support, these particular shoes would probably not suit you as they sit quite low on the ankle. Despite some of the short comings of this shoe, I still love it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a trail shoe with good grip and will be running on muddy/soft surfaces. Excellent fit, great traction I've been wearing this shoe for a year or so, both for training and racing. I've used them on cross-country races, steep uphill races and gentle trail jogs, on packed dirt, loose gravel, mud, rock, snow and ice. I've used them once or twice on hikes, too. The fit is _just right_ for me. I used to have an old version of the roc-lite 285 (which was a tad too narrow for my taste). I love the zero differential and complete and utter lack of cushioning. So far the material seems durable. 27 January 2013

After all the rain this year the tracks and footpaths are especially muddy and these shoes really do give great grip which is exactly what I was looking for. Of course when it is muddy it also tends to be wet.... so your feet will get wet and at this time of year you will need to keep going so they don't get too cold! So not great in the winter conditions. 18 December 2012

Excellent barefoot trail shoes for the mud Excellent in muddy conditions with lots of grip and feel, good fit. If you are new to barefoot type shoes like these ease into them gradually increasing the distance with plenty of rest in between. These shoes put alot more stress on the calve muscles which will strain if you overdo it. As with all the new barefoot shoes you pay the same price for less material therefore I think they are expensive for what you get. 09 December 2012

Sizing

I bought these shoes using the sizing guide. The sizing guide and the shoe box claim that a UK size 7 is 25.5cm. I measured my foot at 25cm. When I recieved my order the shoes were too long. I measured the shoes at 28cm. I'm returning the shoes but i want to replace them with shoes that fit.

What size should I actually get????
