- Meta Flex™ - All our footwear incorporates a meta-flex groove which is anatomically aligned in front of the metatarsal heads to provide a natural fore foot flex
- Meta Shank™ - New 5 finger meta-shank aligns with each individual metatarsal for greater flexibility when contouring while retaining underfoot impact protection. A softer compound is used on performance product while a firmer compound is used on the endurance product.
- Met Cradle™ - The upper webbing support in our footwear is anatomically positioned to cradle the fore foot behind the metatarsal heads and provide a secure foot hold.
- Fascia Band™ - A replication of the plantar fascia ligament to increase propulsion efficiency and reduce fatigue
- Bi-Planar Heel - Sole design whereby the heel section is curved in two planes aligning with the natural curvature of the heel. This provides a more natural and earlier heel strike to aid descending and contouring.

About Offroad Running Shoes
Offroad or "trail" shoes offer increased outsole traction and uppers with toe bumpers and reinforced stitching for more durability. (2) I pronate too. I like the feel of the mudrocs (less cushioning etc). In my road shoes I run with Wave Inspires which are more supportive. I have found it took me a little while to get used to the feel of these and sometimes if I've done a lot of running on really gnarly ground I do know about it, and to start off with my ankles seemed to turn more than usual. I have a pair of superfeet footbeds that I've put in which help. I love these shoes but trying the Inov-8 shoes is going to be a bit of an experience anyway I think, people seem to love them or hate them. Hope this helps a bit, so hard buying shoes online.
