About Offroad Running Shoes
Offroad or "trail" shoes offer increased outsole traction and uppers with toe bumpers and reinforced stitching for more durability. I think the reason for the 190 to be slightly bigger is that the materials used are thinner and lighter.
The 190's seem to be a "nicer" fit to the 212's.

I have 9½ in my f-lite 230 and that is almost to small for me. When I ordered the X-Talons I selected 10 instead and that was perfect...
