About Brake Cables
Brake cables can make a big difference to the way your brakes feel, a good quality set of brake cables should make your brakes respond more positively and be more controllable, this will enable you to manage your speed through technical sections while off road or descending on the road. The invention of the brake cable, known as a Bowden cable, has been popularly attributed to Sir Frank Bowden, founder and owner of the Raleigh Bicycle company who, circa 1902, was reputed to have started replacing the rigid rods used for bicycle brakes with a flexible wound cable. Jagwire do offer a cables that fits Campag.. Jagwire Ripcord 93TC1700 for brakes and Jagwire 75TC2100 for derailleur. However, it is expensive to have to buy these in addition to the Racer kit. Best option is just to buy the Campag branded ones until Jagwire decide to market a version of the Racer set with the Campag cables.

The cable housings come in 1 length which you then need to cut to your required length.
I checked the length about 3 times before cutting. You'll need some sharp cable cutters and to clean the cut ends before threading the inners.
There are long cables sets available also.

Building up a 29er with drop bars, the gear cables are long enough but I dont think the brake cables will be long enough to reach to a front disc brake. I need 950mm for the front and 1550mm for the rear.
Can you confirm the length of inner and outer brake cable for this kit.

Don't concern yourself with looks - the cables and the ferrules are all very well finished, and look a million dollars.
Black Jagwire Ferrule Kit included with Red Cables.
But I only used the Inner Cable End crimps of the Jagwire kit, found the ferrules to bit loose, but fitted SRAM Ferrules, a bit of bike bling !!
