Nice Forks I wanted to replace my suspension forks for my Hybrid bike. I was a little cagey about buying new forks on line and fitting them myself as some trimming of the stem was required, but the forks have worked out great. 21 June 2012

Good bargain I contemplated buying a carbon fork for ages before deciding to buy this as it was 70% cheaper and just a few hundred grams heavier than than the cheapest carbon fork I could find. After adding the star nut and removing excess steerer bar it weighs in at 792 Grams. Delivery was very quick - graphics colors were different from the picture - what I got was just in black and silver. Am very impressed with this fork it has way less vibration and noise than my old shock absorber fork (Centurion cross bike) I was expecting it to be bumpy and stiff - not a bit. I recommend you to buy crown race at the same time you order these forks. Downside - The bike is lower so have to be careful cornering the pedals scrape the ground, anyone ever put spacers down by the race crown? Also I ordered the disc type but they also come with the fittings for caliper type brakes, if you have disc brakes on, these fittings look really stupid ! However for price weight and quality these forks are a great buy. 26 May 2012

excellent value If looking for someting for disc and vee brakes, this is perfact. Really though, it would be better if you could choose which option you wanted. Well made for the price. 25 April 2012

Wheel and disc size?

Hi,
Does this fork fit 28'' or 622 mm wheels and is it large enough for brake disc size of 203 mm??

Yes, this fork will fit the 28" wheels.
I have a PRO T-60 rims (28") and a 700x28c tyres.

About brakedisc size of 203 mm.
If You`ll mount an adaptor - why not.))
But what for? Are You sure, what this rigid fork is necessary for extreme braking force?

700c but I would not recommend a brake disc size of more than 160mm.

I would guess yes. I have fitted them with schwalbe marathron plus 700x35 tyres with mud guards and no problem with plenty of room.

Answer:

The fork has 45mm of clearance so you could just get a 40mm tyre in the fork, I would recommend only up to 38c to be safe.

would this be suitable to replace a trek 1.2 fork?

Not really sure whats on my bike, jsut says " Bontrager Approved, Carbon"...

Damage mine :( so need to replace them

Am I too late? If your old steerer tube measures in at 1 1/8 of an inch diameter then this Kinesis fork should fit. I replaced a spring loaded shock absorber with this fork no problems.

As long as you are replacing rigid forks and the bike you have has a 1"1/8 integrated headset.

Designed for integrated. Yes you need an integrated frame. 410mm and 300mm.

This depends alot on the mudguard you use. There is 50mm of room between the two legs. I would recommend a tyre of 32c or less if you want to use a mudguard and have clearance

Compatible with low rider adapter

I take it from a customer review that one of the cons of this fork is no low rider rack mounts. But would it be compatible with racks that come with adaptors like this one? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/tubus-ergo-lowrider-front-rack/
