Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
they are a bit pricey but the forks and rack weigh less than most suspension forks
I'm thinking between these Maxlight XLT or the Crosslight 3 forks (needs spacesrs I think)
Will either of these suit, will one do a better job than the other.
running conti sport contacts 32mm x 26",
48-36-22&13-28 miche 9 speed,
forks are very light, handle well and look the part, no regrets about buying them,
not as fast as a road bike but she virtually flies + can get much better choice of tyres in 26"
sorry no idea on the crosslight 3 though
what size wheel are these forks suitable for, ill be using the v brakes.
also in a previous comment it mentioned loose v brake bosses? i assume the bits that you attache the brakes to, can you confirm that this isnt a regular problem and you would replace if so?
brake bosses were loose on mine (mentioned in my review)
but haven't heard anyone else complain so probably a 1 off.
the bosses simply unbolt so i used blue threadlock and refitted them checked them a couple of times since and had no probs ,
i am running v's at the moment and have been since the build
i only mentioned in the review just in case someone else had loose bosses and didn't notice
