Answer:
I wouldnt trust it to stay. The clipping mechanism requires tension on the elastic straps to work. If you just loop it on a loop it'll probably unclip at some point and fall off.

Answer:
Mine does but I had to add some old rubber tubing to make it tight so the light wouldn't point down on the ground. Now it works great. You need to make it similar dimensions to a seat post.

Answer:
It probably would, depending on how the loop is orientated, but it would be a bit...umm...floppy I reckon and probably not as stable & effective. It's much better to have it fixed to something rigid like the seat post, which is which I reckon it's designed for.

Not really no, the integral strap only allows it to fit properly to a seatpost.

I have recently purchased this rear light and can confirm in my opinion that it does not fit my aero seat post on my Giant defy . the clip keeps undoing due to the stretch . will have to try and make it fit some other way.

I bought this light for use on my Scott Foil with an aero seat post. The light does NOT fit. The rubber mount has undone itself twice as I'm riding now and the light has hit the deck.

Answer:
I don't think so .
These lights attach with a metal hook around a stretchy rubber loop.
As long as the rubber gets stretched enough around a thick enough post it will hold securely. However the Aero Seatpost narrows to the rear end and I suspect this light will not remain facing directly rear but move to point left or right without some extra padding

I can confirm that due to the rubber mounting bands these will fit an aero seat post. I hope this helps.

Answer:
I have mounted it on my helmet on the rear webbing where you adjust the tightness. The strap is designed to fit around a seat post if that helps.

Answer:
I can confirm that the band can be stretched to fit some points on a helmet but it is not designed for use on a helmet. I hope this helps.
