Answer:
It fits everywhere on my racing bicycles handle bars, which are roundish. If you by oval mean oval like a drop, then they might fit. However, if they are not round towards the front, then they will not fit. The back of the front is plastic and round.

Answer:
Hi Richard,
I've also got oversize handle bars and use these lights, they are a very good fit, if you have angled bars then you might want to think about getting lights you can change the angle on, if you are using them as a main light rather than flashers in traffic.
Hope this helps.

Yes, that is why I bought mine as I have FSA wing aero bars and could not find many lights that would fit. The strap is a bit tight when putting it on the bar and I've only been using it for a few weeks so I don't know how long it will last.

Yes I'm sure it will, my handlebars are too fat for most lights but this works fine. I also have a Knog for my rear light which fits on my aero seat post so you should have no problems with your bars.

Looking for a good helmet light to replace my BLT Lid-LED which has failed (disappointingly quickly - only lasted a year). If the Knog cannot be helmet-mounted, any alternative ideas are welcome!

I have found the best helmet lights are those that clip on to the plastic strap on the back. That way, they are are angled perfectly as well.

Probably can - depends on the number of helmet vents, as with any lighting bracket. The latex bracket is incredibly stretchy tho so I'd say you're in the best position having this light!

Probably not. The light sits directly in front of the bar when facing forward (not on top of the bar) so if you could attach it to a rib of a helment it would face upwads not forward and the direction it points is not really adjestable.

Not ideal! I tried for you, my Giro has slots in the right place and with a struggle I could have got the Gekko to fix OK but it would be very tight, maybe compromise both helmet polystyrene and the Gekko strap plus it would point up in the sky.
I use a Petzl Tactikka head torch on my 'lid' secured with a cable tie to stop it slipping upwards, the head is then adjustable to get the angle forward. (and if your rear light fails you can spin it round for red too) This has been dropped, trodden on, 'dunked' soaked and other stuff and it still works!

Personally I wouldn't as you'd either damage your helmet or the Knog in the process. An alternative would be to get a couple of the Knog Frogs as they're smaller and would be easier to loop into a helmet. Another alternative would be the Cateye SL110 Loop. Again smaller and easier to loop through a helmet.
Or you could go for a dedicated helmet light or head torch? Probably pricier, but purpose built.

You could give it a go as the product is a hardy rubber as appose to a hard moulded plastic. However, on a normal handle bar the stretch limit is almost reached so anything bigger may damage the product making it unusable.

The silicone will fit. However, the middle of the back is plastic, and slightly rounded. Any pipe should be about handle bar size, or it will be too large or too small. The silicone is not very stretchy.

Answer:
It'll probably be too tight on forks, they fith my handlebars perfectly. They're made of silicon rubber so the double band stretches round the 'bar and goes over a clip built into the body of the light. I don't think they'll go over forks but on a handlebar they're at the correct angle for the road.
