The post is 385mm in length and has a travel of 125mm drop. Minimum insertion is 120mm, maximum insertion is 200mm. Stack height from the rails to the seatclamp is 55mm.

About Seat Posts

A good quality seat post will save weight and hold your saddle securely. Seatposts are made in various materials, alloy and carbon being the two most common, alloy posts are lightweight, durable and cost efficient, while carbon posts are the popular choice for top end machines. Seat posts vary in where they hold the saddle relative to their own centre line so make sure you have enough adjustment on your saddle rails to allow for this or you could end up with your saddle too far forwards. A seat post needs to fit your frame exactly and are measured by as little as 0.2mm. When choosing a new one, either read off the measurement from your old seat post or measure it carefully with a vernier calliper. Make sure you lubricate the frame (unless they're carbon fibre) before insertion or you'll struggle to get it out again.

Beautifully made and functional ... hope it lasts. This is a really well made dropper post, you pay for what you get. For the first month it has performed very well. The set up is simple, the trigger is really well thought out and fits an ODI grip so no clutter. The routing of the cable is deadly and much better than the Rockshock as there is no slack hanging off the bike, the cable just stays where you route it, ideal! Travel is very smooth and quick to react to your input, it does what it says on the tin ... without any fuss. My only concern is that after a month there is a small amount of play in the post which I was not expecting, it's too small to worry about but hopefully it does not get any worse. 11 January 2013

expensive, but worth it!! this thing is just awesome!! i thought id have most of the problems fitting it but it was unbelievably easy and it works like a dream! made such a difference to the way i ride. granted, it is expensive as seat posts go but to me it was well worth it. not had the pleasure of servicing it though but as far as i can tell, its like servicing the suspension so should be do-able 08 January 2013

Excellent quality. Minimal laterial movement. Out of the box it is clearly a great piece of kit. Well designed from the lever through to the cable entry and cap. The post appears well made and reasonably light. Installation was straight forward and after watching a few clips went without the cable adjuster. Works perfectly, time will tell if the cable stretches. Thanks to gmar's review for all the measurements as I am running on the minimum insertion limit. Hopefully the cost will equal long life and reliability. First few rides I am very happy. On an impressive side note: Wiggle delivered to Adelaide, Australia in 6 days. Thanks I'll be shopping again in the future. 24 December 2012

excellent bit of kit easy to read instuctions, very easy to fit to bike , cable routeing is easy and best of all no cable buldge like other seat posts .the action of the post is very smooth straight from the go and theres no need to change the pressure. have had no problems even when muddy great bit of kit 23 September 2012

What is the minimum insertion depth of this seatpost in milimetres please?

I know the insertion depth is more than "standard" posts, but I am after knowing exactly what the insetion depth is, so I can be sure the seat post will go high enough.

Without this information, how can anyone make a purchase when the post may not be long enough?

Answer:

The minimum insertion is marked on the seatpost and is about halway up the post. On these types of post it is usually deeper than a standard seatpost.
