A single LED light unit that offers super lightweight performance with none of the downsides.
Features include custom reflector, multiple output settings, sub 300 gram weight and fast 4 hour battery re-charge time.
Cycle light technology has moved on greatly over the years, traditional 'bulb' lights have been more or less replaced by LED and HID systems. Battery, lens and reflector technology has been improved greatly resulting in brighter and longer run times. Wiggle lists a large selection of bicycle lights suitable for lit streets in the city, or unlit country lanes and even bike lights suitable for off road riding, ranging from around £8 to over £300 they vary greatly in purpose and performance. Tiny LED's with flashing or constant modes are great for being seen in built up areas, whilst rechargeable systems can keep the road or off-road trails lit up for non-stop riding at night.

This one facility houses the CNC machine, molding, assembly shops, and design offices. After a decade of designing and creating innovative underwater lighting products, Light & Motion returned to dry land. Not far from the rolling wave breaks of Monterey, Light & Motion found opportunity on the single track of the Laguna Seca hills. In 1999, Light & Motion brought their proven experience and pioneering spirit to the world of cycling. The company’s products were met with an enthusiastic response and immediately revolutionised the bike light industry.

A cracking little light with an enviable burn time for its size and weight. With gold anodised aluminium and a tough plastic body it also had a quality finish.
The beam is very tight and focused, so it isn't ideal for a bar mounting, where close lighting is required. That, and its size and weight make it an ideal helmet-mounted light though. The standard cable is long enough to thread back into a hydration pack, and the helmet mount is simple and effective.
It has three different brightness settings, though with such a long burn time we rarely bothered to turn it down.
When mounted on the bars we did find the bright white illuminated button a big distraction-it is just far brighter than it needs to be. On the helmet of course this didn't matter. Marked down slightly because it is a little pricy for what is really only useful as a helmet mount.
