Using Mavic's exclusive Maxtal aluminium alloy and ISM (Inter Spoke Milling) which produces a greater strength to weight ratio compared to conventional rims. Also these rims are fully UST compatible, the UST concept improves traction, control and comfort while reducing inertia and flats. The front hub comes 15mm through axle as standard but can be converted to 9mm QR with additional adaptors while the rear hub is fitted with the ITS-4 free-wheel providing the fastest engagement.
This instant energy transmission system uses 4 pawls working 2 by 2 with only 7, 5° of freeplay between the two engaged positions to give a very fast engagement and is compatible with 9mm QR and 12mm x 135/142 through axles all this rolling on QRM high quality sealed cartridge bearings.
The Crossride UB wheels also feature these technologies to enhance rider comfort and wheel performance: ISM, UST, ITS-4, QRM, Fore, Maxtal.
These are a good solid pair of MTB wheels that will provide a quality ride performing very well over the terrain you decide to ride over.
