The CrossMark is the dramatic evolution of the cross country racing tyre.
The nearly continuous center ridge flies on hardpack, yet has enough spacing to grab wet roots and rocks. The slightly raised ridge of side knobs offers cornering precision never before seen on a tyre this fast.

These tyres are for mountain bikes and intended primarily for off road use, the knobbly patterns provide grip when steering and traction when applying power to the pedals. There is usually a tyre to suit the conditions in which you are riding in so the right choice is important. On dry days a narrow tyre with a smoother central tread can be used, but on a wet day a wider tyre with a deeper knobbly tread pattern is essential or you could be the one in contact with the mud.

The CrossMark delivers outstanding straight line speed on hardpack, but can be totally lethal in damp woods. Unfortunately, that almost continuous square block centreline not only holds mud in the wet, but also slips wildly at any hint of a root.
