Met's aero-lid is the lightest aero here at 385g, but you pay a premium for the quality performance. Like Giro and Bell, Met use a teardrop hardshell over a fully formed inner. you get the full plastic 'Safe T lite' cradle system from their top-end conventional lids, though, rather than a dumbed-down one. The initial ear-mangling terror at the rock solid flange pieces was contoured by slightly wider spacing and straps anchored in the helmet edge, not loose inside. you still need to lever your lugs in gently, but at least you're not rummaging for straps afterwards. On the road the PAC feels impressively smooth and quiet, with the low weight reducing neck and shoulder fatigue noticeably, even on relatively short post-swim rides. Aerodynamics also felt very effective. While there are only two vents high on the forehead, they're well-positioned to drag air over the top of your dome to cool you down.
In conclusion...
lightweigh; proper-fitting system; reasonable venting - Very pricey; potential ear-mangler if not fitted carefully.
