About Bottle Cages
Water bottles and cages are essential items for your bike, fluid replenishment is essential for long term activities and fitting a water bottle and cage to your bike is the perfect way of keeping you hydrated. Studies show that loss of fluid equal to 2% of your body mass is sufficient to cause a significant decrease in performance. Bottle cages have also received the lightweight treatment with materials such as carbon, titanium and alloy often used. These cages will accept water bottles from 500ml up to 1,000ml, making it possible to carry 2,000ml of fluid on your bike. It's also worth using an Energy drink whilst riding as these will help replace minerals lost through sweating.

I have a small bike (as I'm 5'3"), so it's always a squeeze to get everything I want on my bike, but these two items co-exist well - it's just a bit fiddly to get into the saddlebag.

This fitted a bog standard saddle.
No problem with my Selle Italia seat and it also fits the Progear seat I have on another bike. Note that the rails can't have a connection between them (H style).
It you have an seat bag attached then it will have to be removed - it's one at a time.

But!!!
It mounts MUCH further down due to the rails being rather far apart at the top, where it joins the leather. The plate supplied is not long enough to span the rails.
Therefore the angle of the bottles is more like 45' rather than 90' straight up.
I've added image of my mounting attempt.
I have not test driven this yet but will do, not sure if my arms can reach back and down that far. Shall see.
