The shoe features a full length Parallel Wave plate with AP+ premium midsole polymer and a blown rubber forefoot, providing the all important stability, support and cushioning that Mizuno products have become famous for. The Wave Enigma’s SmoothRide technology and flex control system minimises the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, therefore creating the smoothest ride possible.
The Wave Enigma upper features the enhanced fit technology ‘Dynamotion fit’, with a stretch mesh vamp and a combination of soft and firmer materials that hold the foot with just the right combination of softness and support throughout the gait cycle. The result is a shoe that really pushes the design boundaries and delivers a silky smooth combination of Mizuno’s renowned transition with a luxurious cushioned ride.

Extensive high speed video analysis showed how shoes distort in the collar and heel counter during the gait cycle resulting in loss of fit and causing heel slippage. The DynaMotion Fit system allows the upper of the shoe to interact with the movement of the foot. This relieves the stress on the upper which causes the distortion and results in fit being maintained throughout the full range of the movement. The Tech: Revolutionary New Midsole material. Lighter weight with increased cushioning durability. AP+ (Acceleration Polymer) only losses 20% of its cushioning after 600km. All Midsoles have a mileage as over time the material compresses. Mizuno's new AP+ Midsole takes longer to compress, therefore staying more cushioned for longer.

About Cushion Running Shoes
To determine the correct type of running shoe for your feet, use the tried and tested "wet foot test". Dip your foot into water and then stand on a surface that will show your footprint - a towel or piece of paper or cardboard. The shape of your wet footprint indicates the amount of stability you might need in your shoe. 
If your footprint looks like the one on the right (with a very narrow band or no band at all between the forefoot and the heel) then you should choose shoes from the cushion category on this page Cushioned shoes generally have the softest midsoles and the least added stability. They're built on a semicurved or curved last to encourage foot motion, which is helpful for runners who have rigid, immobile feet (underpronators). You should buy these if you're an efficient runner whose feet don't roll inwards excessively (overpronate) when you run.
