Moda thought the Minor was small enough for the young aspiring road rider.
However after numerous requests for a smaller version, it would appear not. The
Mini has been created to answer those requests, as with every other model in the
junior range every detail has been considered to make the introduction to road
cycling as enjoyable as possible.
The frame is LDA Butted Aluminium with a 68mm English Thread BB, Band on Front Derailleur Clamp, 1″1/8th Internal Headset. The fork is LDA Butted Aluminium.
Wheels are Aluminium 20" with QR Hubs and Kenda K196 20×1″ tyres.
Shifters are Mircoshift 8 Speed Junior Specific matched to Microshift front and rear derailleurs giving precise reliable shifting. Aluminium 42/34 140mm chainset and ACS 11/28 cassette ensure a wide range of gears.
Dual Pivot Road Calliper brakes provide great stopping power and finishing kit is all alloy to keep weight down, with a junior specific Velo saddle finishing things off.
Kids bikes are sized by the wheel size, not frame height, and are designed to accommodate a large range of sizes. As a rough guide 16" are for 4-8 years, 20" are for 7-10 years and 24" are for 10-15 years but check the inside leg measurement and saddle height range to be sure.
At Moda our goal is to create uniquely styled and highly desirable bicycles that not only look the part but perform in the real world. Whether that be a weekend up in the hills, a summer sportive or the daily ride to and from work, we aim to provide a package that will get you there, and back, up, down and around with a smile on your face. As well as our own ideas and experiences from many years of cycling, we work closely with cycling professionals across the UK to find out what they would like from a bike. This means that as well as being assembled by professional team mechanics right here in the UK, the bikes themselves are truly UK born.
