The Moser 111 is very much the enthusiast's road bike, coming as it does from an Italian marque with strong racing roots. It looks fast and, sharing the same geometry as the much more expensive Moser models in the line, it rides fast too.
|Number of gears:||20|
|Cable Routing:||Internal & External Mix|
|Wheel Size:||700c (622)|
The frame of the Moser 111 is built entirely in carbon fibre and uses a monocoque construction method making it light and comfortable while keeping it strong as well. The cable routing is external (with internal rear brake cable), making the frame less costly to produce, and the simple lines and understated matt/glossy unidirectional carbon finish compares favourably to vastly more expensive bikes.
The 111 comes equipped mainly with Shimano's Ultegra 10 speed componentry meaning shifting is smooth every time and that braking performance is sharp and confidence inspiring - even in poor conditions (the calipers are Ultegra too - often somewhere you might find a down-spec to get to a sharper price). FSA provide the popular Gossamer compact chainset which helps to keep the overall cost of the bike down as well as meaning your climbing efforts can potentially last longer than on a 'standard' chainset bike too.
The bike spins on Fulcrum Racing Sport (R7) clincher wheels which are both reliable and smooth running and while they aren't the lightest or most expensive wheels you can buy they are certainly not out of place on a bike in this price range and they look simple and understated too which sits nicely with the rest of the package. Wrapping themselves around the Fulcrum's are a pair of Vittoria Zaffiro tyres. These provide great grip and great comfort also.
Finally, Moser fit FSA finishing kit throughout, which is all perfectly suited to the bike and makes for a well appointed appearance.
For riders who want a road bike with proper racing roots, a dose of Italian flair and perhaps who don't want to follow the crowd the Moser 111 is a fine choice.
Each Moser 111 is prepared by our team of qualified mechanics, tested, tuned and carefully boxed before being sent to you.

Born on June 19 1951, Francesco Moser was one of the dominant riders from the mid 1970’s till the mid 1980’s. He won one Grand Tour title, one World Championship Road Race title, and six victories in cycling’s five monuments, including three consecutive victories in the Paris-Roubaix Classic. Moser began his professional career in 1973. He had an almost effortless pedal stroke that provided great power. Moser was an intimidating figure on the bicycle, but due to his powerful build, Moser wasn’t a gifted climber. Moser’s lasting accomplishment may be that in 1984, he broke Eddy Merckx’s 1972 hour record. However, the bike Moser used didn’t look anything like that which Eddy Merckx used and in 1997 the Union Cyclist International banned all records which were set on bikes with technological advantage over those used in 1972. The record did, however, stand for years and the attempt further opened the door to new technology in cycling. Moser retired from the professional ranks in 1987.
