I'd be very very careful with a carbon frame. Be sure the fit is correct: the pressure should be absolutely even around the tube / seatpost, and you should use a product that increases the friction (between the tube and the post) so you can use less torque when tightening the clamp.
Overtighten = snappage.
Prob best to talk to a good bike mechanic.
