Mulbar's unique organic Cherry Bomb energy gel - an antioxidant explosion! Cherry juice concentrate has been shown to have extraordinary antioxidant content, whilst the high GI sugars from brown rice syrup provide the carbohydrate equivalent of rocket-fuel.
Medium-GI sugars (fructose from organic, naturally sourced agave nectar) give a slower release of energy when taken before endurance exercise. Hydration is supported by the natural electrolytes in Himalayan crystal salts which also provide a full-spectrum of trace minerals.
About Energy & Recovery Gels
Energy gels are consumed by athletes or other physically active people to maintain their calorific needs in light of their strenuous physical activity. They contain complex carbohydrates and are often sold in various fruit flavours, most are in sachet format with a tear off lid for ease of use.

The Environment
We set the company up as a 1% For The Planet Company, dedicated to donating 1% of sales every year to environmental groups protecting our natural world. Two of our four Mulebars are Fairtrade accredited but watch this space as we are working hard with fruit and other ingredient producers around the world to make all our bars Fairtrade.
The Beginnings
We made the first Mulebars in our own kitchens, mainly at night or in the afternoons skiving off the day job just before a ride. The first bars were pretty tasty or at least all our friends and family said so and that gave us the encouragement to develop them further testing them in extreme endurance races as well as just as daily snacks.
And now...
Over the past 3 years, since coming back from the Andes, prototype after prototype has been made, tried by friends, raced with in South Africa’s Cape Epic 9 day stage race, climbed with in the Alps, wheeled along with in the Etape du Tour and used in many children’s lunch boxes. And, we've just come back from the Trans Scotland mtb race where the bars were about the only thing which kept us going.
A great pinnacle for Mulebar is that Amy Beaton, one of our exceptional Mules, took Mulebar to Everest this May.
