Great basic wheel Excellent quality wheel for the price. Bought to replace an old warped wheel that was constantly breaking spokes under my somewhat higher than average weight on bumpy minor roads! Trued to perfection - they say it's to within +/- 0.1mm and i believe it - i couldn't tell by eye that it was off. After 10 days on same bumpy rough roads and with considerable bad weather thrown in it's doing just fine. Really feels like quality beyond the price tag. Highly recommended. 07 July 2012

Basic Wheels set V brake compatible, car valve ready but with an adapter to run presta. Skewers included but no rim tape. I would try to get something a bit lighter for my MTB offroad but for a bash around bike/ commuter I've had it for a couple of months and it is a set and forget product. 29 December 2011

feeling a bit stupid The website is not particularly clear - this is not a 700c wheel, but 559x177mm (26"?) - try finding that on the website, it's not there. Only noticed the difference when trying to put the tyre on (after putting on the cassette and rim tape...) Having to return, unsuitable for my hybrid. Didn't realize Mtb (mountain bike) have smaller wheels. Quality appears superb for the price. Wish wiggle would make descriptions exact!!! 30 October 2011

M Wheel m475/ mavic xm317 Well priced wheel, the hub seems quite solid, and the rim is pretty rigid it also has machined faces so i am presuming that it can be used for both disc and rim brakes. 28 August 2011

It will work on either. It came with a Car valve hole (Schrader) but with a plastic spacer inserted to allow the presta to fit nicely

Is this wheel compatible with an Shimano 8-speed cassette with rear spacing of 130mm for a junior cross frame

Also, please confirm this is a 26" (559) dia. wheel and can be used with 26" x 1.35" cross tires (559 x 35).

This wheel is 26" diameter but the Mavic website recommends tyres only between 1.5" and 2.3" so I can't recommend that you use a 1.35" tyre.

I can confirm that the axle is a standard quick release with a 135mm spacing and unfortunately we do not have the wheels on site so I cannot weigh them. I apologise for the inconvenience.
