Top Features of the New Balance M890SB2 Shoe
- Revlite midsole foam technology provides an ultralightweight midsole that is 30% lighter , yet is as highly durable as standard midsole foams
- Abzorb at the heel acts like a crash pad, softening the impact, whilst absorbing and displacing shock with each foot strike
- The 890 is designed on the new PL-1 natural last. This last has a 4mm reduction at the heel, providing a 8mm differential between heel and forefoot (20mm to 12 mm) compared to the standard 12mm (24mm to 12mm). The lower heel height provides 3 main benefits > 1) Your foot will be in a more natural position when striking the ground. 2) Your foot will be inherently more stable as it is closer to the ground. 3) The shoe will feel more responsive and will be lighter, making you feel like you have nothing on your feet
- Full length Abzorb strobel board provides additional cushioning and a plush feel to the the shoe
- No-sew welding strategically bonds the upper in high pressure areas, meaning no stitching and less chance of irritation, also reducing the weight of the shoe.
- Lightning Dry upper is a superior fabric that provides great breathability and helps keep the feet cool, dry and comfortable.
- Blown rubber outsole for a soft plush feel all through the run
- Male
The 890v2 combines modern aesthetics with great performance. Due to the new Revlite midsole, this shoe offers a superb lightweight responsive ride but all the cushioning you will need in your everyday trainer, making these shoes ideal for faster paced runs or for everyday use a like.

About Racing Running Shoes
Racing shoes are ultra-lightweight, built on a curved last and stripped of the majority of cushioning and stability features found on most training shoes. Generally, the lighter the shoe, the more minimalist the design. You should choose these if you’re a fast, elite runner concerned predominantly with weight. Unless you’re very light, these aren’t for you if you run a marathon outside 2:45, or 1:30 for a half.
About the New Balance brand
New Balance running shoes of all types and great running gear available here at wiggle.
During the 20th century in Boston, Massachusetts William J. Riley, committed himself to helping people with problem feet by making arch supports and prescription footwear to improve shoe fit.
In 1934, Mr. Riley went into partnership with his leading salesman, Arthur Hall, who later sold on the business in 1954 to his daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Paul Kidd. Arch supports and prescription footwear remained the cornerstone of their business until 1961 when they manufactured The Trackster, the world's first performance running shoe made with a ripple sole and available in multiple widths. The Trackster soon became the shoe of choice for college running coaches and YMCA fitness directors.
When Jim Davis bought the company from the Kidds on the day of the Boston Marathon in 1972, he committed himself to uphold the company's founding values of fit, performance, and manufacturing.
When Anne Davis began her journey with New Balance in 1978, her focus became building a superior culture for NB associates and those who do business with the company around the globe.
