Extremely lightweight, mid-distance spike offering great stability for those athletes competing in the 800-5000m. Improving upon its predecessor with soft, durable Flywire cables and a single-layer mono mesh upper.
Nike Zoom cushioning is part of the Nike Air family. Because Nike Zoom cushioning is incredibly thin, it brings the foot closer to the ground and enhances stability, especially during quick cuts and multi-directional movements. After impact, the tightly stretched fibres inside the pressurised air unit quickly bounce back into shape, providing a super-responsive feel and improved awareness of the surface you’re playing on.
Flywire technology consists of strategically placed filaments that function like cables on a suspension bridge and offer support precisely where it’s needed. These strong Flywire filaments are applied to a minimalistic shoe upper, reducing weight to create Nike’s lightest footwear. Paper-thin fabric covers the top of the foot, with the Flywire technology attaching to the outsole and holding the foot in place.

As part of an ongoing quest for innovation and improving the experience for runners at every level, the brand launched Nike Plus in 2006. This allows real-time tracking of data during runs which is then stored as an online log, with each member becoming part of a global running community. Initially launched to be compatible with the Apple ipod nano for runners who love music, it was extended in 2008 to include the Nike Plus Sportband for runners who chose to move without music.
Nike started as a running company and in the words of one of the company's earliest print advertisements. 'There is no Finish Line...'
