- 2 asymmetrical straps closure
- Integrated heel system
- Air sport footbed
- PU thermowelded reinforcements
- SPD compatible
Northwave have introduced lightweight unibody uppers to their range using thermowelding to replace stitching. This allows for the use of lighter and thinner material and almost complete elimination of stitching. This results in a more anatomical fitting that better envelopes the foot, hence a more comfortable shoe.
Ideal if you want a technical product combined with comfort. Plus you get the grip you need with natural rubber so clambering up muddy slopes will not be a problem.
Integrated Heel System
The new unibody construction of the uppers allowed to integrate an efficient heel retention system inside the structure, without the need of external elements. Same efficiency, reduced weight.
Air Sport Footbed
Multiple ventilation holes keep feet fresher while the thinner design ensures you have the sensitivity and grip you need when on your rides.
About Offroad Shoes
MTB Cycling shoes have stiffer soles than an everyday shoe, like a trainer for instance, this means that they transfer more power to the pedals each time you push down. By improving this connection between your foot and the pedal, you can ride longer due to more efficiency and with more comfort. Higher level shoes will have 3 straps on the upper which make them very adjustable and can improve comfort further. Mountain bike shoes have a knobbly grippy sole so you can dismount and run with the bike off road when needed, or walk for small periods if popping to the shops. They are a true all round shoe that can be used for off road, road, touring and commuting.
