With easily the best heel cup on test, the Kaiman offers a feeling of security that belies its simple two-strap construction. A supporting element in rigid polyeurethane holds the heel inside the shoe, with twin velcro straps integrated into a triangular panel fixed to the sole over a two-inch length. Sizing is large but offers room for 'winterising' with a waterproof sock. It's a good idea, as plenty of mesh makes these more suited to warm-weather use in standard guise. A soft compund rubber outsole is bonded to the stiff nylon base, and despite large interconnected lugs on the tread.
In conclusion...
Second lightest on test, these would suit any rider with competitive ambitions.
