Shiny Black Frame:
- Polarised Lens - Polarizing lenses effectively block out off-axis reflected lighted from shiny surfaces such as glass, water and ice. This provides a glare and distraction-free field of vision for improved clarity and focus.
Polycarbonate Lens Material
Polycarbonate offers first-rate optical characteristics, excellent impact resistance and extraordinary lightness. It has a low refraction index and filters out ultraviolet light. All Northwave polycarbonate lenses are subjected to surface hardening treatments that make them resistant to abrasion and solvents.
Off Centre Lens Curvature
The accentuated curvature of standard lenses provides impact protection but may distort the field of vision. Northwave is a high quality manufacturer of snowboard and cycling shoes and clothing. Northwave was founded by Gianni Piva in Montebelluna, Italy and the company is owned by the Piva family. Northwave first started out as a shoe manufacturer in the early 1980's, producing shoes for other companies. In the late 80's, Northwave started producing snowboard and then its own brands of sports shoes.
