Cross Road Sole
The Cross Road Sole has been calibrated to perform equally well on the bike or on foot. The rigidity has been optimised for a fine balance of power transfer on the pedals and traction when walking on rough terrain. With supportive arches and a grippy tread pattern, the cross road sole has you covered for any cycle touring scenario.
Air Sport Footbed
Thin and lightweight, it provides sensitivity and grip inside the shoe while pedaling. The perforations ensure optimum breathability.

By improving this connection between your foot and the pedal, you can ride longer due to more efficiency and with more comfort. Higher level shoes will have 3 straps on the upper which make them very adjustable and can improve comfort further. Mountain bike shoes have a knobbly grippy sole so you can dismount and run with the bike off road when needed, or walk for small periods if popping to the shops. About the Northwave brand
Northwave is a high quality manufacturer of snowboard and cycling shoes and clothing. Northwave was founded by Gianni Piva in Montebelluna, Italy and the company is owned by the Piva family. Northwave first started out as a shoe manufacturer in the early 1980's, producing shoes for other companies. In the late 80's, Northwave started producing snowboard and then its own brands of sports shoes.
