Northwave has extended to its entire new collection the use of thermowelded unibody uppers. Utilising thinner and lighter materials and almost complete stitching free. The upper is also crafted with larger air vents for improved comfort during pedalling.
Airflow system implementation means a better sole aeration.
NW Biomechanical Mapping
From a biomechanical point of view the foot function is essential as it stores the force generated by muscles which is then transmitted to the pedal in the boost phase. The soles have been reduced in thickness but the overall stiffness has been increased so the mechanical energy transfer action from the shoe to the pedal can be concentrated in a small area. The upper has minimal stitching and is designed to anatomically follow the shape of the foot preventing slipping and providing an effective support. The vents have also been strategically placed along the upper and the sole to work as an integrated system designed to provide a constant air flow.
Asymmetrical StrapsThe asymmetrical construction is another innovation of the collection. The central strap is moved so as to follow the anatomy of the foot and reduce the pressure on the sensitive side. The straps have been lightened by all superfluous elements presenting thinner thicknesses and discharged central areas thereby maintaining maximum grip.
Performance Pro Footbed
EVA and microfiber offer lightness sole support and the perfect degree of stiffness to transmit all your power to the pedals.
About Tri Shoes
Triathlon racing cycling shoes are designed without compromise to provide the optimum power transfer between your foot and the pedal, a good quality triathlon shoe is a wise investment for performance and weight saving and is often overlooked. High-tech materials and precision manufacture keep weight down and stiffness up, this means your rotational mass is lower and power transfer is higher, resulting in more forward momentum for your effort. The main difference between a Tri shoe and a road shoe is the number of straps found on the uppers, Tri shoes tend to have one large strap for quick and easy removal during transitions, whereas a road shoe will have three or even four straps. For longer distance events such as half and full Ironmans a road shoe could be a wise choice though.

Product Q & A
Ask your questions and share your answers.
I've seen some big offsets in SIDI shoes and am wondering if these are true to what is listed.
I'm normally a size 46 (30cm) sneaker size but need a size 48 in SIDI.
Would the 46 fit me or would I need a size larger?
