Carbon Light Sole
Carbon fibre and fibreglass offer demanding cyclists like you the stiffness you need combined with an ultralight design. Compatible with all the top pedals on the market, including SpeedPlay. With the exclusive “Northwave SpeedPlay Adaptor” kit you can now fit pedals in direct contact with the sole which reduces the distance between the foot and pedal, optimizes performance and saves energy.
Northwave Speedplay Adapter Kit
The shortest distance between foot and pedal on the market. Northwave developed and patented, in collaboration with Speedplay, an exclusive adaptor that provides maximum power transmission on pedals, thanks to the reduced thickness of just 0,5mm rather the 3mm of the traditional Speedplay adaptors. Made of nylon with a thin aluminum plate (it saves 8,5gr) it allows to respect the natural anatomy of the sole keeping minimized the distance between the foot and the pedal in any position. Without adding bulk and weight as it occurs in systems without the adaptor.
More ventilation, grip and heel protection even with full-power downstrokes. The rigid profile offers stability combined with an ultralight design.
Performance Pro Footbed
EVA and microfiber offer lightness, sole support and the perfect degree of stiffness to transmit all your power to the pedals.
About Tri Shoes
Triathlon racing cycling shoes are designed without compromise to provide the optimum power transfer between your foot and the pedal, a good quality triathlon shoe is a wise investment for performance and weight saving and is often overlooked. High-tech materials and precision manufacture keep weight down and stiffness up, this means your rotational mass is lower and power transfer is higher, resulting in more forward momentum for your effort. The main difference between a Tri shoe and a road shoe is the number of straps found on the uppers, Tri shoes tend to have one large strap for quick and easy removal during transitions, whereas a road shoe will have three or even four straps. For longer distance events such as half and full Ironmans a road shoe could be a wise choice though.

Does anyone know?
Are these shoes the 2013 model ?
The Northwave website shows a carbon sole that can use the adapter
Is the adapter you mention, the one that comes with speedplay cleats, or is it the one that northwave produces specific for their cycling shoes. The so called NW adapter Kit'
If yes, do they come with replacements in the box or do you sell them separately.
1. How much does a single shoe weigh?
2 . What size should I get?
I have some Exustar MTB shoes that are size 43 / 8.5 UK. I have some Adidas running shoes that are US 9.5 / FR 43.5 / UK 9. The running shoes are maybe a touch big. I also have broad feet. My feet are about 26.5cm long and 11cm across the ball of the foot.
Looking at the size chart size 43 is UK 9.5 and US 10.5. A full size different from what I wear currently.
What size would suit me best? I'm thinking maybe the 42?
