Good, but expensive. Have only used them once so far (for the OMM itself) and found them comfortable, easy to take on and off while in shoes and a good fit. 31 October 2012

Good product Very water proof and lightweight and pretty good fit. I am glad I bought them and I am sure they will serve me well. The claims that they are quiet does not match my experience. They seem to 'russle' almost as much as other waterproof trousers, but thats a small issue in an otherwise excellent product. 19 July 2012

Comfortable and functional Arrived just in time to go on the wettest cycle touring holiday I've had so got a lot of use. They are really comfortable both on the bike and for walking around the local area. The material feels fine against bare skin over shorts - which is just as well as they are too close fitting to go over anything else other than tights. The ankle cuff is adjustable to keep them away from the chain. The side zips are a good length and I never had any issues getting them on and off over the Shimano MTB shoes I use touring. I haven't worn them running yet but from walking around it seems that they would be fine if suitably gnarly conditions arose - it would have to be pretty bad to get me running in waterproofs. I usually wear 32-34 inch trousers and I ordered medium. They fit well. Obviously the biggest attraction is the low weight / pack size and these are the best packing trousers I could find. They seem well made and fairly hard wearing considering their weight. 13 July 2012

Nice and Dry I like the long zips which run from the ankles to the knees. Makes it a lot easier to get in and out of these pants. I ran for about 40 minutes in cool but humid weather and it was quite comfortable and not clammy and damp. The Gelanots technology is quite unique. The pants are light and looks quite durable. I have the smock top too and together they are keep me dry so I am happy with this purchase. 02 November 2011

Would these pants be suitable to wear over padded shorts for commuting on a road bike?

Yes, they're made of a slightly stretchy material so would suit the cycling motion well and although not ta tight fit, they are far from baggy.

Yes they are very well suited. The stretch in the panst allows for a close fit while also giving the freedom of movement around knees and space to go over padded shorts. The lower leg is cut tight with a longwater resist zip to allow easy pull on over footwear but ensuring pants won't catch in the chainset when cycling.

I'm a 30" waist - 5'10" - with 31" inside leg so would the small be long enough (for running) because sizing states small=29" leg? I suppose I'm saying would the medium be too big/baggy?!

We would recommend medium. The measurements account for the pants to stretch around the waist so you won't have that much excess space.
