The Compression Calf Sleeve uses Orca’s most advanced combination of active and graduated compression fabrics and ergonomic panel construction technology. The Graduated Compression Zone is a unique panel of double thickness Perform Killaskn Kompress fabric, which has a higher tensile construction that is scientifically proven to provide optimum levels of graduated compression. This panel assists pre and post activity rest and recovery by circulating blood flow back towards the heart from the lower legs. Killaskn Kompress is then used in contoured panels to support the calf muscle active compression during exercise.
The Calf Sleeve is moisture wicking, has UPF50+ protection from the elements and reflective logos for low light visibility.

About Compression Base Layers
Compression base layers enhance performance in training, competing and recovery, and are designed to reduce the quick build up of lactic acid in the muscles, whilst keeping you comfortable and dry during exercise by wicking moisture away from your skin. Body moulded compression garments also improve recovery after periods of sustained exercise and help to regulate your body temperature. Compression baselayers also help prevent muscle oscillation which leads to muscle fatigue and help to minimise muscle soreness.
About the Orca brand
Whilst working as a swim coach, and from his first hand experience in competing in triathlon, Scott Unsworth realised that the wetsuits used at the time were completely inadequate for swimming. In 1992 Scott started up a company called Performance Speedsuits Ltd, based out of his parent's house in Auckland, New Zealand. He began to develop his "Speedsuits", which featured greater flexibility and buoyancy than other existing wetsuits. The business started with Scott selling his Speedsuits from the back of his car at swim meets and triathlon events. The Speedsuits quickly gained a following amongst athletes and the business started to grow. Scott was taking his first steps towards introducing what would become Orca, to the world. A young New Zealand triathlete named Hamish Carter became one of the first athletes to sign up with the company that is now Orca. Over the next 13 years Hamish Carter went on to become one of the best known triathletes in the world - culminating in a gold medal at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
