The main pad is exectly where you need it: over the ulnar nerve area, with the other at the base of the fingers...rubberized surfaces and slicone dots give a good grip...the fit is snug, and the velcro strap and a pull tag on the cuff make removal easy.
Decent quality, good protective pads in right places, best value here
Serious attention to detail make these mitts stand out from the crowd. Pull tabs at the wrist and fingertips make them easy to get on and off quickly, there's also as much palm padding as necessary and there's extra embossed grip. The sweat wipe is not in quite the right place for a really good drag but long fingers and sensibly chunky, resilientmesh backs give and unusually substantial feel for fingerless mitts. Despite a few untidy bits of stray material interlocking on our test pair, they give every indication of outlasting crashes and bramble patches.
Terrific value mitt on steroids
Like Adidas's adiStar, Endura's Mighty Mitt is essentially unchanged since we last reviewed it. The faux suede palm has two pads double-stitched to it: one over the ulnar nerve, one at the base of the fingers. Both use a layer of neoprene, which although thin, compress like rubber and doesn't just bottom out instantly and transfer road shock. The ulnar pad has a rubberized surface while the one across the base of the fingers is dotted with silicone. Combined with the thin palm, grip is good. The thumb arch is reinforced, and there's a polyester fleece section across the back of the hand near the thumb for nose wiping. Fit is snug, especially at teh long cuff, but the Velcro strap and pull tag here make removal easy./ the Endura logo across the knucles is reflective whcih aids nighttime visibilty.
Good value, snugly cuffed, grippy, reflective, and reasonably comfortable
