In order to cycle on the road it may be a legal requirement in your country to use a light certified to a specific standard or an international equivalent. Most but not all lights sold on Wiggle are certified and labelled with a European CEN standard. Please check your country’s requirements to see if this is sufficient and if necessary contact the manufacturer to see if this light has been additionally certified for your country. Strangely some of the very best lights are not legal on their own and should be used with an additional legal backup light.

USE deliver a huge leap forward in lighting technology. At 185g including bracket it weighs less than most chargers! The unit produces an awesome mountain bike proven beam, takes up no room and is so light it's untrue. Strong words that this is a superb product.
Exposure gets the nod because it's an innovative all-in-one that's cheaper, lighter with less to go wrong.
USE's Exposure light is a unique ultralight lamp using twin 5w LEDs in an anodised CNC'd barrel
Ultralight race light with halogen power/run times
This is the Sussex-based component manufacturer's hot product for 2005 and comes in two versions: the Race and the larger Enduro model with a double size battery...What singles it out from other current top-end units is that the battery and lamp come in one integral aluminium-cased unit, so there are no cables anywhere
At 164g it's a simple, lightweight set-up that's sure to appeal to racers and riders who aren't undertaking long or technical loops
The whole system is expensive. On the other hand here is a light that runs almost forever, pumps out a serious beam, tells you when the battery is low and tells you when it is recharged. It is incredibly light, unobtrusive in use, and generally well made. Assuming USE sticks to the same battery format for a while, it is possible that spare battery prices will come down as lithium-ion technology develops.
Most road cyclists will regard the Exposure light as an expensive luxury; those who really need a top quality light however, may view it very differently.
