This year's Focus Cayo features a 'Raw' carbon finish exposing the natural woven finish of carbon, instead of last year's 12K cosmetic layer, so every Focus Cayo frame will have its own unique visible carbon finish. This can appear 'marble like' in certain areas of the frame depending on lighting conditions, this gives a natural beauty and individual finish to each Cayo frame.

Yet another super light and highly specced race-bred machine from Focus with a lightweight price tag to match. Focus’s Cayo Pro Compact comes complete and ready to race, featuring their SSPS carbon tubeset and UD technology. Using Shimano's Dura Ace components and DT Swiss wheels coupled with the full carbon frame and forks means this bike is super stiff, highly spec’d and race ready. The compact chainset enables you to tackle any serious climb on a sportive event with ease and the Dura Ace 10 speed groupset provides the reassurance with transmission shifting which is swift, precise and accurate even under load. DT Swiss wheels wrapped with Continental Grand Prix tyres provide the grip you need when the pace is high and Concept’s Xtreme bars and stem keep you pointed in the right direction. A Fi:zik’s Aliante Delta saddle sits on a Concept EX seatpost and provides exceptional comfort on those long days in the saddle. The whole package results in a super stiff, yet comfortable and lightweight bike that handles beautifully and translates all your effort into forward momentum. A fast, lightweight machine which will offer comfort and performance in one well rounded package.

About Road Bikes - Race

Road racing bikes are available for various purposes, they can be used for road racing, touring, leisure or commuting. Racing bikes are lighter, faster and more responsive than equivalently priced mountain bikes. Road bikes have come a long way in recent years with new technology and materials available. Carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium are all used now as well as the more traditional steel tube sets. They all have their advantages: aluminium offers good performance at a reasonable price, steel offers comfort over performance and is a long term investment, titanium offers ultimate all round performance at a premium price while carbon fibre offers superb comfort and performance at intermediate cost.
