Ultra lightweight Amadeus aluminium frame with wishbone curved carbon seat stays and full carbon forks. The seat stays features the KBS (Karbon Back System).

The Wilier La Triestina/Lampre road bike features 'curved' carbon seat stays providing extra comfort and power transfer when you need it. Using Shimano's FC-4550-S compact chainset coupled with Shimano's Tiagra cassette ratio of 12-25, this bike will tackle any incline on the open road. Braking and gear shifting are taken care of thanks to Shimano's Tiagra components giving you the reassurance of smooth and swift shifting when it counts.

This bike also comes supplied with a Dog Tooth. This small device clamps around the seat tube underneath the front mech protecting the frame from the chain if it unfortunately drops off the inner chainring when down-shifting occurs. This machine also comes supplied with a water bottle cage and a 500ml Wilier water bottle and has a replaceable rear mech hanger.

This is an OEM product and will only be covered by the 12 Month Wiggle Guarantee

About Road Bikes

Road racing bikes are available for various purposes, they can be used for road racing, touring, leisure or commuting. Racing bikes are lighter, faster and more responsive than equivalently priced mountain bikes. Road bikes have come a long way in recent years with new technology and materials available. Carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium are all used now as well as the more traditional steel tube sets. They all have their advantages: aluminium offers good performance at a reasonable price, steel offers comfort over performance and is a long term investment, titanium offers ultimate all round performance at a premium price while carbon fibre offers superb comfort and performance at intermediate cost. It is not uncommon for the materials to be mixed to give the benefits of all the materials in one frame - a carbon fibre rear end on an aluminium frame, for example. The technology hasn't stopped at the frame either, wheels have received a lot of attention along with the rest of the components, road racing bikes are becoming featherweight, responsive machines that are a sheer joy to ride over many miles.

About the Wilier brand

Mortirolo Veloce Wilier was born in 1906 thanks to the brilliant idea of a trader from Bassano, Pietro Dal Molin, of building bicycles on his own account. His forge or "Steel horses" rose as a small workshop along the banks of the river Brenta, at Bassano del Grappa, and it became more and more successful by keeping up with the increasing demand for bicycles.
