About MTB Tubeless Tyres
Tubeless tyres, also referred to as UST, have the primary benefit of avoiding needless pinch punctures when running at low pressure. They are specifically designed to enable the rider to run varying amounts of pressure to suit the riding conditions. They will require a Tubeless / UST specific rim, or a conversion kit, to be used without a tube. They can however have a tube fitted if they become damaged during use. Special tyre sealants can also be purchased to improve the seal and are applied inside the tyre when installing onto the rim.

Magazine reviews for Panaracer TrailRaker UST Tubeless Tyre
Review from Bikeradar
The new UST version of the Trailraker is a true UK conditions mud tyre, and the slick clay-based mud around our UK base in Bath offers us the perfect test bed for such a tyre.
We ran them on a set of Mavic Crossmax ST's with Joe's No Flats goo.
At around 30psi, the tyre excelled in muddy conditions. As previously mentioned, the hills around our office are a tyre-clogging nightmare, and to be able to ride usually unrideable trails and keep upright was a revelation.
The mud-shedding brilliance comes from a combination of multi-height knobs and centre square knobs that offer low rolling resistance and good acceleration.
The outside knobs are made from a softer compound and hold well in the corners, while inspiring confidence in the wet. They climb really well over anything, and even felt good on nasty tarmac climbs.
The sidewall casing is tough and has seen off any damage as yet. These perform great and will be a welcome addition for any serious rider.
In conclusion...
Awesome in the quagmire we call Britain, robust enough to take on any terrain, but a bit pricy
