Good quick energy hit Easy to eat whilst running. Good for energy when nothing else will do. Robust so you don't have to worry about them melting or getting squashed. 06 July 2010

Bite size nutrition Bought this product for long training rides and runs as part of my preparation for my first ironman. I use one every 10 minutes, and this seems to help me stay energised. I used this in my half ironman preparation race, on the bike and run, and I felt my energy levels were consistently high all the way round. Flavour was fine, and no problems digesting. No hesitation in using this in August for the full ironman. The fact that it comes in sweetie sized portions makes it easier to consume than biting chunks off bars, and for me, just made it easier to keep a regular flow of nutrition. Only downside is, eating one every 10m over long distance events becomes a bit sickly, but I'm sure that's the case with any sweet product. 04 July 2010

I have only ever used during exercise, but see no reason why you could not. It would be just like taking a gell before which I have done many times

easily, if I miss breakfast I'll generally just have a handful of these and then finish the packet off during the run. no need to plan eating them long before your run

i always have this like 2 shots before a long ride 3-5hrs on the road, 4-5 times a wk and put the the rest/pack in my packet,, i do road cycling.. the product kicks in before you know it.. base on my experience..

depends on the length of the run, you only get a benefit from these for about 20mins, in other words, taking them before a 2hr run might leave you feeling low after the first half an hour.
