PRO overshoes include their revolutionary Optimal Panel Construction. The principal behind this design is use as few seams as possible and use the natural characteristics of the material to improve comfort and fit. By relocating the main seam to the inside of the foot, PRO have managed to improve the fit and remove the top seam for increased water resistance.
The latest range of PRO overshoes take the O.P.C. design even further and are sleeker and more aerodynamic then ever before. New graphics, Kevlar protection, reversed zips and sealed seams make these overshoes state-of-the-art.
Road specific overshoes feature a strap-free sole design with cleat and heel openings and are compatible with all types of 3-bolt road cleats.
Overshoes are essential for winter riding, they protect both your feet and your expensive cycling shoes from the winter weather. They can be made from a variety of materials, for example Lycra, Neoprene, Windtex or GoreTex are common place, each of these materials has different properties to suit the weather you are riding in. Windtex and Neoprene materials are ideal for cold dry days or for keeping your foot warm but not dry, whereas Goretex and other waterproof materials will help reduce the amount of water reaching your skin. It can be hard to keep your feet 100% dry so priority is always warmth, so try to choose a warm and windproof overshoe for best results on colder days. It’s advisable to wear a waterproof sock inside your shoes, Sealskinz make a very popular range, which add an additional barrier to minimise water ingress. Other important features on a pair of quality overshoes are reflective logo’s/details, heel holes for when putting your foot down at a junctions, pre-cut cleat holes and a stretchy material for a close fit over your shoes.

Magazine reviews for Pro Tarmac H20 Road Overshoes
Review from road.cc
These overshoes give superb protection from wind, rain and, in testing, hail considering their low bulk.
The Tarmac H20s are made from antibacterial bamboo charcoal fleece with a stretchy polyurethane coating that's described as 'water resistant'. I would suggest this doesn't do the Pro' justice as I didnt find any hint of water getting inside the overshoes even during very wet testing. I also found that while my feet can overheat in my neoprene overshoes, the Pros didn't suffer from that problem due to their lighter weight construction.
In comparison to neoprene they offer a little less in terms of insulation and general warmth but due to the 'wrap around' style, the fabric covers virtually every part of your shoes which is good news for keeping them clean. The overshoes are kept firmly in place with a combination of a YKK rear zip and a reflective velcro puller to make sure of a snug fit.
The performance during testing was faultless. I specifically liked the slim line profile as this allowed me to get them on and off quickly and easily. My feet didnt overheat or get cold and they handled even the heaviest of showers comfortably. A sound investment, £30 for these may be toward the top of the overshoe price list but consider that you get a water-repellant, sleek, comfortable, durable product then surely it is worth serious consideration.
A top quality pair of overshoes. The design is sleek and attractive.

They are quite a wide shoe.

2: You'd smash them into pieces MTBing, these are lightweight, fragile bits of kit that do not want to make contact with the floor.
Road cleats poke through the hole and elevate the overshoe off the ground.
Go another size up if you want to fit them over knobbly MTB shoes.
In your case it will be: L. Note you're in the middle of L (40-42).
For example I have also a Shimano R220 road shoe, size EU43. Recommended size is XL, and it sit perfect.
