The Puma Faas 1000 is a premium cushioning shoe featuring FaasFoamLite: a softer and more plush foam for a more cushioned ride. 12mm drop and built for the traditionalist looking for a statement cushioning shoe, this shoe is surprisingly light
Lightweight, minimal and protective
Faas Foam Light (FFLite)
FaasFoamLite, provides a softer yet responsive ride underfoot
Puma’s NEW proprietary blend of foam and rubber, that is more resilient, has increased step-incomfort, has a more springy feel and is 25% lighter than FaasFoam.
Aligned with the forefoot flex grooves for consistent flexibility and a smoother toe-off
The unique and innovative execution of the EverFit lace system locks the foot onto the platform and keeps the tongue in place. Upper lockdown technology ties into the laces, secures the midfoot and/or heel without inhibiting the foot’s natural movement
Monomesh and Airmesh Package
Base Airmesh provides optimum breathability and comfort, whereas top Monomesh provides protection
Molded Rebound Ortholite Sockliner
Highly responsive, breathable, and anti-microbial sockliner provides exceptional step-in comfort and longevity.
Forefoot Flex Grooves
Allow for a smoother transition and a more flexible toe-off
High abrasion resistant rubber utilized in high wear areas for added durability
PUMA’s injected blown rubber compound, that is lighter and has enhanced cushioning and durability for a smoother toe-off
To determine the correct type of running shoe for your feet, use the tried and tested "wet foot test". Dip your foot into water and then stand on a surface that will show your footprint - a towel or piece of paper or cardboard. The shape of your wet footprint indicates the amount of stability you might need in your shoe. If your footprint looks like the one on the right (with a very narrow band or no band at all between the forefoot and the heel) then you should choose shoes from the cushion category on this page Cushioned shoes generally have the softest midsoles and the least added stability. They're built on a semicurved or curved last to encourage foot motion, which is helpful for runners who have rigid, immobile feet (underpronators). You should buy these if you're an efficient runner whose feet don't roll inwards excessively (overpronate) when you run.
