After two years of engineering work and rigorous testing, the all new Turbine rings are ready to ride. Completely redesigned from the ground up, these rings shift like nothing else.
As with our previous Team and Race rings, the Turbine rings are made in Canada from 7075 aluminum, so they are built to last.Offering unparalleled form and function, the new Turbine rings are second to none, and come standard on our Deus and Next cranks.
Chainrings are fitted to the crank arms and come in single, double or triple configuration. Most geared bikes use a 3/32 inch width, whereas 1/8 inch is the popular choice for track bikes and some single speeds due to its increased strength which is needed when riding a fixed wheel. Chainrings are available in a number of formats, these are known as PCD's (Pitch Circle Diameter) or BCD's (Bolt Circle Diameter), this is the spacing of the bolts that secure the rings to the crank arms. Common sizes are 74mm inner ring Shimano MTB, 110mm middle and outer for Shimano MTB, 110mm for most compact chainsets to allow for the smaller ring combo's, 130mm for Standard Shimano Road and 135mm for Standard Campagnolo road chainsets.
